Ace drinking VN game VA-11 Hall-A hits Switch in 2019

A great game on the Vita, Sukeban's VA-11 Hall-A will land on a bar near Switch owners in 2019. In it you play a bar keep charged with keeping the punters happy from a wide choice of drinks, that need to be mixed correctly, and finding out what the story is in the back alleys of a seedy dystopian city.

The game has sprung into a cult phenomena, with bags of fan art and tales on Sukeban's Twitter. A joy to play, Switch owners will find something truly different in this indie epic.

Horizon Chase Turbo racing to the Switch

Launching today on Steam, and PS4, but coming to Switch according to the developer's plans, Horizon Chase Turbo nicks all its words and gameplay from the classic arcade racers from back in the day.

Offering 1 to 4 player racing with a fun set of sporty, muscle, racing and other cars across a series of twisty-turny striped tracks familiar to any Super Hang On fan, it'll be a must-play for anyone with boy-racer reactions.

Music comes from veteran composer Barry Leitch and who crafted tunes for 16-bit racers like Lotus Turbo Challenge and Rush.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate lands in August

Capcom keeps drip-feeding the Monster Hunter brand across the console spectrum with a Generations Ultimate (aka Monster Hunter XX) patch job to keep Switch fans happy in August. More exciting is the news that Milla Jovovich will star in the upcoming movie. Players of the 3DS Generations can copy over their save files, and there's loads of new updates, skills and monsters, but its still not the full-fat version that PS4 owners are enjoying!

Warriors Orochi 4 wields its blade on the Switch

Omega Force's long-lived Warriors Orochi series comes to the Switch, bringing MD-musou battling to the Nintendo hybrid. Shame the company hasn't got around to adding Switch as a format option on the Koei website, but we have some boxart and a gorgeous (non-Switch) screen in lieu of any actual information.

Will let you know when some actual detail emerges.

Mars Horizon teaser sets us up for a new space race

Anyone who's played Kerbal Space Program will be right in with Auroch Digital's Mars Horizon, combining rocket building, mission control, and space agency management.

Mars Horizon is a strategy game in which players control a government space agency. Picking between the space agencies of either Europe, Russia, or the United States, the players then control the agency to collaborate or compete in a decades-spanning campaign to expand humanity’s reach further into space. With each game an alternate history begins to be shaped and guided by the player’s actions, building iconic rockets, probes, and satellites that transmit crucial scientific data back to your customisable Earth HQ, all the while researching, investing in, and bolstering your space flight capabilities.

During the player’s version of the space race, perhaps Europe work with Russia, sending satellites into orbit? Could it be that the US get this first satellite into space but that Russia achieves the first moon landing? Who will be best poised to venture to Mars because of learnings from earlier missions? Players will research new tech, expand their agency base, build rockets, send satellites into orbit, and launch a variety of missions throughout the Solar System. The game culminates in the first crewed mission to Mars, setting the stage for humanity to become a multiplanetary species.
